Delete Your Account

You can delete your GigaTime account at any time. This page provides a web-based option for requesting account deletion without needing to open the app.

Preferred Method: Delete in the App

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the GigaTime app:

  1. Open GigaTime
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
  3. Review the deletion preview showing what will be deleted and retained
  4. Confirm deletion

In-app deletion is immediate. You will see exactly what data is affected before confirming.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Permanently Deleted

  • Your authentication identity (login credentials)
  • Uploaded personal files (receipts, documents, profile photo)
  • Notifications and dashboard preferences
  • Team invitations

Anonymized

  • Your name, email, phone number, and other personal identifiers
  • Client contact information associated with your organization

Retained for 7 Years (Tax Compliance)

  • Financial records (invoices, payments, expenses) — with personal information anonymized
  • Financial-related documents (invoice PDFs, expense receipts)

Retained as required by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and applicable tax authorities.

Request Deletion via Web

If you cannot access the app, use this form to request account deletion by email. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.

This will open your email client with a pre-filled deletion request to info@gigatime.io. We will verify your identity before processing. This action cannot be undone.

Before You Go

Consider exporting your data before deleting your account. In the app, go to Settings → Privacy → Export My Data to download a complete copy of your data in JSON or CSV format. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
